The Village at Shenandoah is a proposed assisted/independent living complex designed for a 17-acre site in Roanoke, VA.  The two-story buildings are boken into smaller segments, with pitched roofs, clapboard siding, covered porches and trim details that echo the character of a small village.  The spaciousness and configuration of bedrooms and sitting alcove will encourage the residents' feelings of security by providing personal territory and, at the same time, encourage neighborly associations.  Outside landscaped areas, covered arcades, and traditional front porches provide protected space for sitting, strolling, and picnics.

The imagery shown here was presented to the governmental agencies in order to obtain approval for the project.
