MCNB Bank

Bank officials at McDowell County Bank (MCNB) wanted to maintain a contextual relationship with the “home” bank structure while creating a new image for their presence in Mercer County.

One of the challenges was to fit a full-service bank with drive-in and parking facilities on a small, but prominent site. The building was designed to take advantage of the location and make a dramatic presentation during both daylight and evening hours. The owner was interested in utilizing a low-maintenance exterior with “modern” architectural elements.
